SOFTBALL FAQ'S

How long is the season?

The regular softball season runs from mid to late April, weather permitting, to the end of June. League games usually start in May.

At the coach's discretion, some teams may choose to start indoor practices earlier in the season. 

For U11 and older age groups participating in Provincial competition, the season extends into July.

Practices and games:

Girls' softball practices and league games are usually held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, although these dates are subject to change depending on diamond availability and game schedules. 

Practice schedules will be announced mid-late April.

Sedgewick Minor Ball Cash Raffle - Annual Fundraiser

Each family of Sedgewick Minor Ball agrees to provide a Fundraising Commitment cheque or E-transfer for our annual cash raffle fundraiser. The quantity and value of tickets each family will be asked to sell is determined on a season-by-season basis. For the 2024 season, the fundraising commitment was 20 tickets x $10/ticket ($200 total).

SMB's Treasurer will collect fundraising commitment monies and team managers will distribute raffle tickets later in the season.
